Jessica. Its a good thing. It could damage muscles and once they are damaged there isnt a way to fix them

This is a very good thing that the body just naturally does. It would cause a lot of damage if this wasn't present in the body.

i think it is a negative response because it prevents it from going further a positive response would be if it let it continue until it resolved itself

Exercise makes you stronger either by hypertrophy which enhances muscle proteins. Or the enlargements of cells.
